Billing & SMS spending
Last updated: May 19, 2026
This page explains how paid plans and SMS credits work on Schedlie: what you subscribe to, how credits are added to your account, and whose balance is used when a text message is sent. It supplements our Terms & Conditions, Refunds & cancellations, and Communications to guests & clients.
1. Free and paid plans
Schedlie offers free calendars with core scheduling features. Optional Schedlie Plus unlocks additional features per calendar (personal or group), as shown on our pricing page and in the app at checkout.
- Personal calendar: Plus is tied to your account and personal calendar.
- Group calendar: Plus is tied to that specific group calendar. Any member may start a subscription for a calendar they belong to, according to the calendar’s upgrade settings.
- Creating calendars and organisations: setting up a group calendar (including nested organisation structures where available) does not require a subscription. Paid plans are optional upgrades.
- Organisation contracts: schools and larger organisations may receive Plus or SMS allowances under a separate commercial agreement applied by Schedlie. Those terms are confirmed in writing; self-serve checkout prices may not apply.
2. Subscriptions and payment
Recurring Schedlie Plus subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly per calendar through our payment provider (Stripe). Prices, tax, and renewal dates are shown before you confirm payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in the app or Stripe Customer Portal where available.
- After cancellation, Plus features remain until the end of the current paid period, then that calendar returns to the free plan.
- Complimentary Plus (for example testers or promotional access) and contracted Plus under an organisation deal are granted without Stripe billing for the covered calendars; see section 4 for SMS under those arrangements.
3. SMS credits — balances and top-ups
SMS reminders use SMS credits on your Schedlie user account. One credit typically equals one SMS segment; longer messages may use multiple credits per recipient (shown in the app before you send).
- Monthly allowance with Schedlie Plus: 100 credits per UTC calendar month on a paid Plus subscription (50 per month during an eligible trial). Unused monthly allowance does not roll over unless we state otherwise.
- Subscribe bonus: converting from an eligible trial to paid Plus may add a one-time 50 prepaid credits, as shown in the app.
- Prepaid top-ups: you may buy additional credit packs at any time from Subscriptions or Communications where checkout is enabled. Prepaid credits remain while your account is active, subject to our Terms.
- Spending order: when a message is sent, monthly allowance is used first, then prepaid balance.
SMS is only available where your plan includes SMS reminders, SMS is enabled for your account, and you have sufficient credits. Delivery depends on valid mobile numbers and third-party carriers; see Communications to guests & clients for client and guest messages.
4. Whose credits are used when a message is sent
These rules apply across Schedlie — personal calendars, group calendars, and nested organisation trees — unless a separate written contract explicitly states otherwise.
- Remind me (you opt in to a reminder on an event you did not create, or on a shared event): credits are deducted from your account — the person receiving the text.
- Reminders for you (reminders about your own events): credits are deducted from your account — the person receiving the text.
- Third-party / client reminders (SMS to someone else’s phone number, such as a client or guest): credits are deducted from your account as the organiser who enabled those reminders. This is the only case where you are charged for an SMS sent to another person.
We do not charge the event creator, calendar owner, calendar administrator, or organisation billing contact for self-directed reminders unless that person is also the recipient or the third-party organiser for that specific message.
Under an organisation contract, a designated billing contact may receive a shared monthly SMS pool for third-party messages sent on covered calendars. Self-directed reminders (Remind me and Reminders for you) still use each recipient’s own credits.
5. When credits are not refunded
Credits are consumed when a send is attempted through our SMS provider. Failed delivery after a successful hand-off may still deduct credits; where our systems refund automatically (for example a immediate send failure), balances are restored as shown in your ledger. See Refunds & cancellations for subscription and unused prepaid credit rules.
6. Changes
We may update allowances, pack prices, or plan features with notice where required. The version shown in the app and at checkout at the time of purchase applies to that transaction. We will update the “Last updated” date on this page when we make material changes.
7. Contact
